Real Event! Emily B's Baby Shower, Columbus, Ohio

I am so excited to feature this baby shower on my blog! Not only was I the creative mind behind it, the shower was thrown for my sister and mom-to-be, Emily. So much time, effort, sweat and (almost) tears were put into this event. I swear it felt like I was planning a wedding!

Pinterest was a lifesaver during the planning stages. Since the sex of baby B will remain a mystery until birth, we decided to go with a bow theme (hairbow for a girl or bowtie for a boy), and picked some gender-neutral colors and mixed them with vintage style decor. When guests arrived, they were to open their favors immediately and don a bow -- in their hair if they thought the baby would be a girl, and on their shirt if they thought the baby would be a boy. Emily handmade all the bows in different patterns and they turned out SUPER cute.

We were blessed to find such a cool place to throw the shower. Not only were the owners at Mission Coffee Co. so generous as to allow us to use their space, but they served coffee too!

Was it expensive to use Mission Coffee Co. as a venue?

I am so glad to know about Emily B's Baby Shower. The concept of this baby shower was so lovely. I am totally inspired to use some of these ideas for my sister’s baby shower. I am working quite hard on this shower and would like to go with the most beautiful event halls for rent.
