Personalized gifts from Minted

I posted last week about the great cyber monday deals going on at Minted. Well, they just recently  launched their new and improved calendar designs! I always love it when they launch something new at Minted -- they're almost always sure to be a huge hit.

I think these calendars make such swell gifts. What amazes me is how customizable they are -- you can add text to any day of the year ( Dad's Birthday, for example), add multiple photos, and convert your photos to grayscale right there while customizing! Never fear, if your photo looks kind of sad in color, rest assure it probably looks pretty nice in black&white :)

Here's a couple of my favorites, as well as some calendar pages I customized for myself!

I chose to customize 'fine and fair' which was designed by Up Up Creative. They come in two sizes, but personally, I prefer the smaller one for $29. If that price seems a bit steep, not to worry, Minted almost always has SOME kind of deals or discounts going on!

Getting into the Holiday Spirit!

Enjoy this festive treasury I made on etsy! There are some really gorgeous items on Etsy, as always. I picked some nice woodsy/warm/rustic things. Hope it gets you into the Christmas Spirit, if the non-stop Christmas songs on the radio haven't already!

Minted Cyber Monday Sales!

If you've been eying the art prints over at Minted but are discouraged by the price, Monday is the day to jump on buying one! You get 25% off all art prints and gifts -- including the amazing selection of stationery and journals. I bought a few journals as gifts last year and they were awesome :)  you can even add a custom text message and or/photo on the inside, which makes it that much more special.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I feel like I've been submitting designs to minted a lot lately. Here are the fruits of my labor!
the first three are wedding invitations, and the last two are calendar designs. I haven't found out yet if they've been chosen for sale. Crossing my fingers!

real wedding: Alyssa & Jesse

this pretty rustic wedding  was captured by chupp photpgraphy. I love how they photographed the invite I did for Alyssa & Jesse. I think my fav part of the wedding is Alyssa's bouquet. I also loved that they got a few shots of their dog, too. can't forget about fido :)

peeing your pants is the coolest

I did almost peed my pants last week when I found out that one of my Holiday Card submissions "Christmas Dingbats", got 8th PLACE in Minted's annual holiday card challenge!  I was so surprised/honored/excited.

first place got a whopping $7000 (congrats to Angela Marzuki), but I'm still pretty happy right in my 8th place spot out of 2600 submissions.

this design is also available as a non-photo card. If you asbsolutely must purchase this design right now cause you love it so much, then you might as well enjoy 10% off, too!

Wedding Trend: Ombre

If you haven't noticed, ombre is not just 'all the rage' for hair color. It's finding it's way into almost everything from paper goods, to home decor, and of course, weddings (some of the most gorgeous cakes ever are ombre, I swear).

Here's a few etsy picks, as well as some of my fave cakes, a la pinterest.

Real Wedding: Meg & Heather

I love this wedding for many reasons. first of all, I can see the genuine love these two have for each other. I'm so lucky to have been able to be apart of their wedding, small though my contribution was.

Meg contacted me about customizing my venn diagram seal  & send invites, with the tweak being instead of a heart in the middle of the venn diagram, they wanted an infinity symbol. Such a clever idea! The infinity symbol found its way into other aspects of the wedding, and I also designed a "certificate" that guests signed as witnesses of Meg & Heather's marriage.

My favorite part? how do I choose! I really like some of the vintage details they chose, specifically, the math flash card table numbers.

Real Wedding: Kristin & Josh

I know, I know. I haven't posted in eons. but it will have been worth the wait:  this wedding captured by Olivia Gird is uber cute! So many fun and colorful details. The wedding took place at the Golden Lamb Buttery in Connecticut.

I was privileged to design Kristin & Josh's guestbook and favor signs. My favorite thing? It's really hard to decide, but I think it's the wall of pinwheels used as a backdrop for photos. so lovely.
